• Description - In G10 we are studying VIRTUAL WORLDS and we are creating a VIRTUAL WORLD EXPERIENCE for Grade 1 Red and Grade 1 Grey students. The Grade 1 students are researching local communities and we are bringing an important Yokohama landmark to their classroom to enrich the learning experience of grade 1 lifelong learner.

• Aim(s) of the Event - For SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT - PRIMARY RESEARCH, DATA COLLECTION and SERVICE LEARNING EXPEDITION

• Connection to the School’s Philosophy/Objectives - 

  • This field trip aims to address the HJIS need to provide a rigorous and challenging education and to nurture responsible lifelong learners by taking students into an enriching environment and collect data and increase their understanding and awareness.

  • On this field trip, students will be in small groups and this will enhance their leadership skills and team working skills.

  • On this field trip and through studying this unit of work - students will learn to be appreciative, confident, cooperative, curious, committed, creative, enthusiastic, empathetic, independent, respectful and tolerant.
