Unit duration: 8 weeks
Problem: Your online identity builds each time you are online and this identity builds over time and leaves a digital footprint, and student have not projected an entirely positive online profile and this impact relationships and careers.
Design Brief: Every online user has a responsibility to create a positive personal expression of themselves and to protect their personal expression from those who have bad intent. Your task is to take responsibility and control of what others see of you online and, by incorporating design principles of visual design, make a good impression of yourself. You will do an online stocktake of yourself and remove negative images, comments and associations and create an ePortfolio website that showcases the best impression of yourself for academic and career purposes.
Design Specifications: Your ePortofolio website must:

NOT contain contact details

use an appropriate colour palette

have a logical and well-organised structure

use text that uses design pricipals (fonts, headings, sub-headings, font size, etc.)

contain a professional image of oneself (photo or vector images)

feature school work that demonstrates growth and progress

feature a section that explains how you have demonstrated IB Learner Profile attributes and ATL skills
Enquiry Question: How do we enhance the impression we project to others, through our online profile?
Statement of Enquiry: There are many elements to one’s online profile and, we have arguably a significant amount of control about what others see and by incorporating design principles of visual design and we can make a good impression. Your online identity builds each time you are online and this identity builds over time and leaves a digital footprint. Every online user has a responsibility to create a positive personal expression of them over time as well as protect their personal expression from those who have bad intent.
